BR9: Little Woman

Today I read "Little Woman", a book in the Oxford University Press series. It was written by Louisa May Alcott, retold by John Escott, and illustrated by Martin Cottam.

When Christmas comes for the four March girls, there is no money for expensive presents and they give away heir Christmas breakfast to a poor family. But there are no happier gilrs in America than Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. They miss their father, of course, who is away at the Civil War, but they try hard to be good so that he will be proud of his 'little woman' when he comes home.

Choe Meg, Joe, Beth, Emmy are the four sisters of the March family. Because the father goes to the battlefield, the life of the March family is not easy. Among them, the appearance of a bright and strongly living march family is drawn mainly by four sisters. Even if it is painful, they do not lose their heart to consider their partner. Since it is composed by collecting short stories, it was easier to read.

If you are interested, please read it. I recommend it.
