Today I read "The Love of a King", a book in the Oxford Bookworms library series. It was written by Peter Dainty.
All he wanted to do was to marry the woman he loved. But his country said "NO!" He was Edward Lill, king of great Britain, King of India, King of Australia, and King of thirty-nine other countries. And he loved the wrong woman. She was beautiful and she loved him - but she was already married to another man. It was lovestory that shook the world. The King had to choose: to be King, or to have love... and leave his country, never to return.
Edward VIII chose to live with a woman who loved his more than the crown. Because he was in the position of King, it is a very dramatic episode. I think he is a rare person who has met his heart and fulfilled his life. It's a so interesting love story. If you are interested, please read it. I recommend it.
