Today I read "Aladdin and the enchanted lamp", a book in the Oxford University Press. It was written by James Lovelock.
This story is simplified version of "Aladdin and Magic Lamp". It is totally different from Disney's story! The jeanie is too plain. He is poor, but he dislikes to work. Also he does not help his mother. I can not sympathize with Aladdin in Disney story at all. It's just story that he is using only the power of the lamp and ring to do whatever he wants to do. I think was it a strange edit, or was it originally a story like this, with all the doubts... This story is interesting in a sense so I recommend it. If you are interested, please read it.
