BR:14 Go, lovely rose and other stories

" 'I warned you about that girl,' said Gerda." (p.49)
Today I read "Go, lovely rose and other stories", a book in the Oxford Bookworms Library series.
It was written by H.E.Bates.
I rose in the garden on a warm summer night, a father waits for his daughter to come home. He watches, and waits, and worried. Under a stormy, daffodil-yellowsky, a man returns to his home town after many years aways. He walks slowly along a street, remembering the girl he loved, and lost... Among high mountains, in a place where water from a lake thunders over a dam, three people meet - a mother, a danghter and the man who comes between them. These three stories show us how love grows and changes, like a flower opening and bying like a storm driving clouds across the sky. They show us how love goes hand in han d with fear and hate and jealousy, and how a moment of madness can change people's lives for ever...
This is a short editing. The Motifs are Symbolic flowers and fruits in each work. The dam is impressive. It is drawing a jealousy about male-female relationship. Because they are short stories, they are easy to read, they are narratives that dealt with human minds, so you can read more quickly thanks ahead.
If you are interested, Please read it. I recommend it.
